Administration
Depending upon the type of plan and the investment platform selected, American Retirement Plan Services, L.L.C. will perform some or all of the following administrative functions:
- Receipt of census data
- Calculation and allocation of contributions
- Download of participant account data
- Receipt of duplicate investment statements or download of daily valuations for Trust Accounting and valuation
- Preparation of annual high-low testing, with report of same to the Trustees (semi-annual testing available upon request)
- Coverage testing as required by the Internal Revenue Service
- Preparation of Beneficiary Forms
- Coordination of limited scope audit by CPA and investment company
- Preparation of Internal Revenue Service forms: 5500, Schedules and any other applicable attachments
- Actuarial Schedule SB for Defined Benefit Plans
- Preparation of Safe Harbor Notice (when applicable)
- Preparation of Information for Required Quarterly Benefit Statements (for plan year 2007 and thereafter)
- Our presence, when requested, at employee enrollment meetings
- Summary annual reports and management reports
- Ongoing telephone support to assist with client questions concerning the plan
- * Distribution calculations for terminated participants
- * 1096, 1099-R and Form 945
- * Loan amortization schedules and security agreements
- * Representation of a client during a plan audit by the Internal Revenue Service or Department of Labor
- * Hardship withdrawal forms (when applicable)
- *separately invoiced on a time/charges basis
